New Hobbies

Three cheers for new hobbies. That's what's been sucking me up and have no time to blog or think. That and work. I'm wrapping up the hardest project I've been on with the crankiest client I've ever had. He's a cool old guy, loves Swedish House Mafia, and has P.I.M.P for a ring tone, but my god he's so cranky and difficult to deal with. Plus looking at him you'd never realize he's into such cool music. Most men his age have never even heard of Swedish House Mafia. But back to the new hobby. I'm so madly in love with Debian. And funny thing about Debian/Linux... it helped me get rid of an idiot date.

I had posted something about Debian GUI (graphical user interface) as my FB status. I about died laughing at his ugly jealousy. And this after ONE date. And ONE kiss. Glad to be rid of him! Retard.

I fiddled around with files and accidentally deleted a bunch of Windows root keys and couldn't start up Windows anymore. If it weren't for work and my excessive need for Excel + some MS word docs I'd wipe out Windows altogether. Thomas hates Windows and being a Linux/Unix sys admin guy, he doesn't have to deal with it. I do though. This was the perfect time to upgrade to Windows 7 though. So I did. And it wiped out my Linux partition! Now... I'm gonna get a separate hard drive and install Linux on there. None of this partitioning doo-hickey bs. Debian/Ubuntu 10 this time instead of 8. Voila! Everything updated. Granted, I went about the hard way. But this is how I learn. Linux is way better than Windows. So this is my new love. Hardware and software. I can feel my blood zinging through my veins. I'm alive! Oh ye who loves passionately, lives passionately. And I'm very passionate about Linux!

After I get Linux down and feel super comfy, I'm going to move onto XML, ASP. There's also some SQL and PHP books waiting for me. So many projects, so little time! But oh is life filled with color and joy again.

As for my sex life... uhm, what sex life? Ha! I am having a few dates here and there though. Friday I had a date with a cute Israeli guy. Don't know where that's gonna go. Don't flipping care. Besides, I told him... nothing's gonna happen if we can't be friends first. I think I'm done with the hookup shit. Maybe if Fonzi bounces around a time or two, I'd make an exception. But for all the new guys, no hookups for you. If you can't be my friend, actually want to hang out with me, make the effort to do cool things with me, then fuck off. There's more where you came from and I don't need to waste my time with those that don't put in the work. For those that do, you shall be rewarded. If nobody comes? I have Debian!
