Still Going...

I mentioned in several posts how I needed to slow down and have more time for myself. Well, things are going in the opposite direction. It's even more hectic than before.

My best friend from high school was in town with her bff from college. I haven't seen the both of them for about 6-7 years now. Everybody looks the same. Maybe Lien got skinner. Otherwise we could match our high school year book photos exactly. Serendipity also came with them because the first night they arrived, we went for happy hour and ran into the coolest guy. He's so chill, so sweet, so mellow, so calm, yet supportive... I'm very much enamored. Not head over heels or anything. Brian already took that spot.

Anyhow, we hijacked his weekend starting Thursday night with drinking and bar hopping and curry eating. Friday night I spent the night over there, just cuddling. We were both too exhausted for much. Then we woke up Saturday and met up with the girls and walked the Golden Gate, saw the Presidio, drove by Golden Gate Park, saw the Painted Ladies and ended up at the Ferry Building. He bounced for a bit and then we all met up for dinner over at my house. Still exhausted, we ditched the clubs to watch a movie. Sunday everyone dispersed for our respective homes in SF, Boston, and Atlanta.

Sunday I did laundry... hell, I even ironed! I was ironing for chrissakes. And I was also very good with my diet. No more cheating. I played about 4 hours of tennis and got sun baked to a crisp. Farrah and Zora came by to play some tennis too and then we went out for food. It's been a fantastic weekend. I miss the girls already. Lien and I have always gotten along really well.

I'm still waiting for my "I wanna do absolutely nothing weekend" but it's yet to come. I think I've been waiting for it since last Thanksgiving.
