Friday morning was off to a good start with a Blue Bottle latte at 07:45 and some soup at 11ish. B hopped downtown to meet me for lunch at 13:30 and we went to Mixt Greens cause I was jones'ing for their salad. We sat around and talked. I always appreciate his insights and love his company. His Zen always rubs off on me.
I got a lot of work done on Friday and ended up finding more work for myself that needed to be done and not enough time to do it all. I left close to 18:00 and went to the mall with Chris. We picked some things out for him and I had a glass of bubbles before bouncing to my date.
The neuroscientist was very sweet. Everything a nerd is. I hadn't dated a shy nerd in so long! My tendency to be attracted to cocky, uber confident men makes it easy to overlook wonderful nerds! And our night was wonderful. He wanted to take me to Barretta, but it was too packed and the wait was too long. So we ended up at Bar Tartine for dinner. It was delicious food over endless conversations. Never a dull moment.
We walked back to his place and sat by the fireplace and talked. He told me of his family, his sister, his parents, etc while I sipped on whiskey. I ended up spending the night... and interestingly, had to press him for sex. He wanted to take it slow, he said. I said, I like you... what's the wait for? We can get to know each other and have fun too. It was tough to sleep at his place though - it was so loud and I'm a very light sleeper. In the morning he had to go to work... but not before a wild and crazy romp ensued. It was by far some of the best sex I've ever had! However there is a caveat... he couldn't come with a condom on. Ever. So I helped him take the edge off through other means.
We haven't talked much since - him busy with work and me busy with this and that. I like the fact that I have no expectations. I had a great time. And that's all that matters.
