Almost

Not much to update here... the company I'm applying for is doing a background check and verifying references and such right now. All should be well. I don't want to be overconfident and count my chickens and all that... so I'm letting that be.

The doc and I chat not so occasionally. I've been working 13 hour days and he's pulling some serious shifts at the hospital. Plus he mentioned he has the flu after I complained of him not talking to me anymore. A man after my own heart... just ups and disappears with little explanation. Ha.

I almost have the job I want.

Who knows if either pans out. I've just been too tired to think much on it. This week is Fleet Week though, so I got the captains to take out one of the boats and go sailing out in the Bay. I invited this girl and her husband. She and I have been on a few dates and she's finishing her PhD in clinical psychology. Yep, I do know how to pick 'em. Having the husband along is gonna be a bit dicey, but I figure I should be charming to him too if I want some rights to her pants. Just for fun. Shits and giggles. She's fun and I want someone to hang out with lately to take my daydreaming mind off this blooming doc.
